VIDEO TRACK REVIEWS

In 2006, I started a music blog called The Anchor Center. By that time, there were already more than enough music blogs on the internet. I tried to differentiate by only posting videos I made. Some videos were live shows, others were exclusive interviews with bands.

My favorite and most original video idea for the blog was this "Video Track Review" series. The concept is to actively engage a blog reader while they listen to a song for the first time. Using editing, pictures, and humor, I think it becomes a pretty fun way to review an mp3.

The track review for Au Revoir Simone's 'Through the Backyards' was awarded a regional Emmy in 2007.
